Born in 1973, Byblos is one of the best known brands in the fashion scene worldwide. During the late '70s Gianni Versace (1977-1979) and Guy Pauline (1979-1982) become art directors of Byblos, but the real success came in the 80s, under the direction of British designers Keith Varty and Alan Cleaver (1981-1996), who had what it took to develop an original and innovative style.
In 2005, Manuel Facchini took over the artistic direction and began a new era for the brand. Manuel Facchini is now considered one of the most exciting young talents, a child prodigy of the Milan catwalks, with a background ranging from economy to fashion design acquired at the Central St. Martin in London and a keen eye for contemporary art.
Manuel is part of a network of European, American and Japanese artists, and this passion not only affects his creations but has led to the opening of the Byblos Art Gallery and Byblos Art Hotel in Verona, where luxury, comfort and art all come together. The activity of both sites are breathing life into the Byblos brand experience, enriched by the presence of contemporary art language and codes. Today, Byblos has a new and strong brand identity: extremely innovative, sophisticated and fashionable.
